Why you should trust NewsWireBC to deliver your news releases

Fast • Flexible • Effective • Affordable

  • Reporters and editors are looking for news. Unlike the corporate news release services, we do not send ‘vanity’ releases or fluff. All our releases are treated as hard news by editors.
  • We have all the right contact points. We spend a lot of time making sure we do, and we keep our lists up-to-date.
  • We have set up our distribution lists based on the advice of editors and news directors who deal with your news. They’ve told us the best way to get your news release into their hands for maximum results.
  • We’re fast. We operate out of BC. We don’t send your release to Eastern Canada to be put on the wire. It goes out when you want it to go, and it gets there fast.
  • We have segmented our lists to enable you to pick and choose exactly where your release will go. Unlike the corporate newswire services, you don’t have to pay to have your release sent to a massive master list.
  • We know which newsrooms are shared by a several media outlets. We have removed radio stations which do not have news broadcasts, and weekly newspapers which are essentially shoppers and do not carry news. You’re left with genuine media outlets which can use your news.
  • Our service is flexible and cost-effective. We don’t charge you for sending your news to places you don’t want. You decide where and when it goes out.

What you need to do to send a news release

  • Phone us at 604-258-9084 and speak with John Lynn with a heads-up, at least 4 hours before you intend to send your release. Email your release as an MS Word attachment to release@newswirebc.ca
Do not send it as a PDF.
  • You need to discuss with us what media you want to send it to, and the release time.
  • Provide us with a list of any reporters/editors who should receive the release.
  • You need to contact us in advance of sending your first release so we can set up an account, design your news release format, and deal with specific needs.
